Follow us here, Facebook or Instagram as we resurrect the dead! We scored an amazing example of the Chopper Resurgence in the early 2000's to start this project. Our "Ballin' on a Budget Build" starts with the amazing pile of Paul Yaffe Original's "gold" below.. For the meager sum of $3000.00 we acquired a PYO built EVO powered 240 Rear Tire Chopper (minus the Engine and Transmission). A GREAT start to Our Build including the following.. - PYO Softail Chopper Frame & Swingarm w/ "One off" Strutted Rear Fender, PYO Crackpipes Exhaust, Guy's Upholstery Custom Seat, PYO 21" Front and 240 Rear Billet Wheels w/ Tires, Exile Cycles Rear Sprotor Setup, Super clean Perse Triple Tree's with Forks by Frank Extended Fork Tubes & HD Deuce Legs w/ PYO Flush Axle, PYO Oil Bag, PYO Motor/Ignition Mount, Force Downdraft Air Filter w/ PYO Filter Fairing, Iconic PYO "Soon to Be Copied" Forward Controls, and because this bike was originally built by the PYO Crew there are handmade details throughout. We even talked the previous owner into throwing in a newly re-built Primo-Rivera Brute III 3" Open Belt Primary after I noticed some hairline cracks in the frame (courtesy of the former Patrick Racing 120" Motor).. Next I bargained for an 80" EVO with unknown lineage adding $700 to the build. I was pleasantly surprised to still find crosshatching in the cylinders & domed pistons accompanied by a EV-27 Cam, all of which seem in really good condition. After thoroughly going through the cases and repainting it the Zombie should have a solid heartbeat! To complete the Drivetrain I traded some parts for a Paughco Framed Bobber (another coming soon project) which will donate it's 6 Speed Rev Tech Tranny. That deal included a lift and assorted other parts which was so profitable we can say the tranny was a freebie! Now starts the fun part, refurbishing it all and bringing this Zombie to life!! STAY TUNED.. Frame cracks repaired by the PYO Crew and all sheet metal has been Laser Stripped. I am kinda digging the finish.. I may just ceramic coat the parts and keep it that way! Time to tear down this old HD 80" EVO.. We acquired this engine from a friend and Bagger Nation customer Drew @ Resto-Mod inc. who set an FXR Land Speed Record at Bonneville on his 150" powered Bagger Nation M8 FXR Frame with an average speed of 178.112 MPH!! Drew didn't know much about the lineage of the EVO but the completely sealed stator plug hole in the case has me wondering if someone may been playing at the track a little.. LOL! Let's see what we find! Let's start mocking these bones up while were prepping the motor..

Americana Defined..
The Boys and I needed a Shop Truck and we couldn't say no when we saw this 1988 Chevy R30 Dually! Classic lines, amazing stance, 3+3 crew cab w/ bench seating for my long legged minions and 454 cubes under the hood.. We are currently gutting the interior, fixing a few small mechanical issues and will be soon looking for a Motorcycle Lift to do Recovery and Deliveries. Stay Tuned... This one is going to be fun! |
